WEST CHESTER, PA – Kirsten E. Higley, 32, of 186 Stirling Court, West Chester, PA, died Monday morning, January 21st, from injuries suffered in an accident when struck by a motor vehicle, while riding her bicycle on her way to work.
She was born in Leominster, MA on December 15, 1980, daughter of Steven P and Beverly E. (Barber) Higley of East Templeton and had lived in West Chester for the last 8 years.
Kirsten was a 1999 graduate of Oakmont Regional High School, where she ran indoor track and cross country. She received her Bachelor of Arts Degree in computer animation from The Art Institute of Philadelphia, finishing her studies in three years. For the last six years, she worked at QVC as a digital photographer in Westchester.
Kirsten’s favorite time of year was Halloween and she loved traveling and all aspects of Star Wars. While in college, she worked with the crew and staff of Eastern State Penitenciary of PA, putting on a Halloween exhibition.
In addition to her parents, she leaves a brother, William E. Higley of No. Hollywood, CA and many cousins, aunts and uncles
Funeral services will be held Monday, January 28th at 11 A.M. in Stone-Ladeau Funeral Home, 343 Central Street, Winchendon. The Rev. William Ault will officiate.
Burial will follow in Green Bower Cemetery, Gardner.
Calling hours in the funeral home will be Sunday, January 27th from 2 to 4 P.M.
