Kobbe A. LaPerle-Bouchard

WINCHENDON - Kobbe A. LaPerle-Bouchard, 50, of 157R Monomonac Road West, Winchendon and formerly of Shirley and Ayer, a well known and well respected barber in Ashburnham, died Sunday, January 1st at her residence, with her loving family at her side. She was born in Fort Benning, Georgia on October 28,1955, the daughter of William G. and Mary A. (Capuziello) LaPerle and had resided in Winchendon for eight years, moving from Shirley, where she lived for many years. She was a former resident of Ayer, where she had attended school. Kobbe owned and operated the former Kobbe's Barber and Styling Shop, serving hundreds of loyal customers for the last 11 years. Previously, she had worked at Family Hair Care in Ayer for several years. She was a member of the Ashburnham Community Church, Fitchburg Sportsmen's Club and the American Legion Women's Auxiliary in Ashburnham. She was a former member of Shirley American Legion Women's Auxiliary. Kobbe atttended and graduated from Rob Roy Barber School in Worcester. She had a Master's Barbers License in Massachusetts, Maine and Florida. She was a Mary Kay Cosmetic consultant and was a dog lover. She leaves her companion of 15 years and husband of one month, David A. Bouchard; a sister, Carol A. Dawson of Stow, Ohio; a brother, William G. LaPerle, Jr. of Lunenburg; her step-mother, Gloria LaPerle of Spring Hill, Florida; two aunts, Anna Hebert of Westminster and Rudy Suder of Piny Flats, TN.; two nieces, Cheryl A. Merrick and Lee Ann Smith; three great nieces, Rachel and Lauren Merrick and Kyra Smith; one nephew, Tanner Smith; her in-laws, Jean A. and Annette L. Bouchard of Sweden, Maine, formerly of Hamilton, MA. and her two dogs, Joshua and J.J. A memorial service will be held at 11 A.M. Saturday, January 14th in the Ashburnham Community Church, 12 Chapel Street, Ashburnham. The Rev. Dale Proulx, pastor, and the Rev. Joseph Jurgelonis, pastor of St. Denis Church, will officiate. There are no calling hours. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Ayer. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the VNA Care Network, 120 Thomas Street, Worcester, MA. 01608.
