WINCHENDON – K. Yvette (Webber) Goewey, 81, of 115 Baldwinville State Road, Winchendon, died peacefully Saturday morning, October 27th in Heywood Hospital, Gardner.
She was born in Winchendon on May 18, 1931, the daughter of the late Harold and Jeannette (Rouleau) Webber and was a lifelong resident of Winchendon.
Yvette graduated from Murdock High School and then worked as a secretary at Ray Plastics and later at Winchendon Furniture Co. For thirty years, she did payroll for the nursing staff at Heywood Hospital until her retirement in 1996. She enjoyed playing bingo and attending old car shows with her late husband Henry. She was a life member of Winchendon Rod and Gun Club and enjoyed camping at Old Orchard, ME.
Her husband of 56 years, Henry N. Goewey, died in 2010. She leaves two children, David H. Goewey and his fiancée Gail Paul and a daughter Candace “Candy” Caron and her husband Dickie, all of Winchendon, and a nephew, Lennie Brooks of North Carolina. A sister, Irene Brooks, predeceased her.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 3rd at 11 A.M. in Stone-Ladeau Funeral Home, 343 Central Street. The Rev. Jackson L. Williams will officiate.
A calling hour will be held Saturday, November 3rd from 10 to 11 A.M., preceding the funeral service.
Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Winchendon.
