Leana Gauthier

Winchendon-Leana J. (Belanger) Gauthier,74, died Saturday, March 19, 2022 at UMass Medical Center in Worcester.

She leaves her husband, Roger Gauthier, three children, Christopher Gauthier and his significant other, Kathy Roberts of Baldwinville, Kimberly Wood and her husband, Lee of Fitchburg and Jason Gauthier and his wife, Bridgette of Phillipston; six grandchildren, Amanda Root, Samantha Wood, Jacob Sullivan, Joseph Gauthier, Lilyanna Gauthier and Emily Gauthier; two great-grandchildren, Everest Rain Gauthier Root and Canyon Winter Gauthier Root; one brother, Peter Belanger and Linda of Winchendon and many nieces and nephews.

She was born on November 21, 1947 in Budingen, Germany, a daughter of the late Philip Louis and Emma R. (Guntar) Belanger. She worked for a Protestant Youth Center halfway house, a Ball Bearing company, Berkie Photo in Fitchburg, Millipore Corp in Jaffrey as lab tech.

Leana enjoyed shopping and cleaning. She was a wonderful cook, who made the very best chocolate cake ever. She truly loved to spend time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Leana’s funeral services will be private.
