WINCHENDON - Lila L. Kliskey, of 277 Front Street, died peacefully Thursday morning, May 15th in Heywood Hospital, Gardner.
She was born in Winchendon, the daughter of the late George and Ida M. (Chesley) Kliskey and was a resident of Winchendon for most of her life. Lila graduated from Murdock High School, Becker Junior College in Worcester and Stevens Business School in Fitchburg.
Lila had worked for several years as a secretary for the United States Army at Fort Devens until her retirement. She had previously worked at Massachusetts Protective Association Insurance in Worcester, Independent Lock in Fitchburg and Fontaine Brothers in Gardner. An avid fan of the Boston Red Sox and New England Patriots, Lila was a member of Winchendon Historical Society and AARP. Her hobbies included gardening, music, dancing, crossword puzzles, animals and being with family.
She leaves several cousins.
Funeral services will be held Friday, May 23rd at 11 A.M. in Stone-Ladeau Funeral Home, 343 Central Street, Winchendon. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery.
