WINCHENDON – Lillian A. (Brow) Clapp, 73, of 85 Eagle Road, Winchendon, died peacefully Friday morning, June 15th, at her residence, with her family at her side.
She was born in Winchendon on April 9, 1939, daughter of the late Leon and Alice (Hadmack) Brow, and was a lifelong resident of Winchendon.
Lillian was a 1957 graduate of Murdock High School, where she was class secretary and member of the band. She was a member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, where she had been a counter of collections. A devoted wife, mother and grandmother, she cherished time with her family and enjoyed attending sporting events of her grandchildren. She also enjoyed golf, bowling, travelling, camping and playing volleyball at the Clark YMCA.
She leaves her husband of 54 years, Raymond C. Clapp; two children, Jill R. Macarelli and her husband Stephen of Winchendon and Sherry J. Kiedaisch and her husband Christopher of Leominster; four grandchildren, Tyler Macarelli, Nathan Macarelli, Brock Macarelli and Nicholas Kiedaisch; a brother, Leon “Sonny” Brow Jr of Winchendon; a half-sister, Marilyn Gauthier of Winchendon, as well as a sister Barbara A. Antonellis of Westfield, nephews and nieces. A son, Keith R. Clapp, who died in 1978, and a daughter, Lynn A. Clapp, who died in 1993, predeceased her.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday, June 19th at 11 A.M. in Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, 52 Spruce Street, Winchendon. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.
