WINCHENDON - Lillian E. (Marquis) Diotalevi, 87, of 28 Emerald Street, Winchendon, died peacefully Thursday afternoon, February 4th in UMASS Memorial Medical Center, 55 Lake Avenue North, Worcester. She was born in Winchendon on December 10,1922, the oldest of nine children of William J. and Gertrude L. (Lambert) Marquis and was a lifelong resident of Winchendon. Lillian worked as an assembler for 25 years at New Hampshire Ball Bearing in Peterborough, NH until her retirement. She was a member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Church and Winchendon Golden Agers. She enjoyed reading and found her greatest enjoyment from spending time with her family. She was educated in Winchendon schools. Her husband of 55 years, Angelo Bruno Diotalevi, died in 2000. She leaves three children, Carol A. Pennell and her husband Mark of Winchendon, Steven B. Diotalevi of Brookline, NH and Mariann L. Dwinell and her husband Richard of Fitzwilliam, NH; four sisters, Jeannette M. Roy of Winchendon, Elizabeth A. Martin of New York, Carol J. Richards of Winchendon and Phyllis L. Morris of Fitchburg, six grandchildren, seven great grandchildren and many nephews and nieces. Three brothers, Walter Marquis, Alfred Marquis and William Marquis, and one sister, Shirley G. Cochran, predeceased her. Funeral services will be held Monday, February 8th from Stone-Ladeau Funeral Home, 343 Central Street followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 A.M. in Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, 52 Spruce Street. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Calling hours in the funeral home are Sunday, February 7th from 2 to 4 P.M.
