Linda L. Martin

February 26, 1947 — July 17, 2024

Winchendon, MA

With a spirit as vibrant as her favorite TV show "Perry Mason" and a love for life as deep as her affection for Elvis, Linda Martin's story was one that radiated joy, resilience, and unyielding love. Born on February 26, 1947, in Gardner, MA, Linda spent her early years in Templeton before laying down roots in Winchendon. Here, she built a life centered around the values of family, friendship, and community. Linda's journey on earth, characterized by her unwavering dedication to her loved ones, ended on July 17, 2024.

In her professional life, Linda wore many hats, but it was her time as a harness wirer at Simplex Time Recorder that she wore with utmost pride. Embodying the values of hard work and dedication, Linda was a testament to the adage that there's honor in all work. But it was outside of work where Linda's light truly shone. She was a familiar face at holiday fairs and farmers markets, and a regular at the occasional yard sale. Yet, Linda's real passion was spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandsons. Her eyes sparkled with joy at their achievements, and her heart swelled with pride at their growth.

While Linda leaves behind a legacy of love and compassion, she also leaves behind her beloved children, Julie Martin and Dennis Martin; her grandchildren Caitlynn Cooley, Sammi-Jo LaChance, Shannon LaChance, and Zachary LaChance; her great-grandchildren James, Jayce, Waylon, Wyatt, Levi, Leo, Lincoln, and Theodore; and her siblings Marieanne Flagg, Maralyn Hammonds, Chris Gauthier, and Michael Gauthier. Linda joins her parents, Wilfred and Agnes Gauthier; and her siblings, Anne Patriquin, Theresa Flagg, Harriett Rogler, Jean Rouchleau, Lois Boshans, Charles Gauthier, and Wilfred Jr., in eternal rest.

In Linda's memory, let us remember the values that she upheld - of love, family, and community. Let us carry forward the light of her spirit in our everyday actions. We encourage everyone who knew Linda to share their memories, stories, and photos on her memorial page. Let us celebrate Linda's life and the love she shared with us all.
