GARDNER – Linea J. Tkaczyk, 84, of 86 Stone Street, died peacefully Tuesday evening December 30th in UMASS Memorial Medical Center, University Campus, Worcester, with her family at her side.
She was born in Templeton on September 21, 1930, daughter of the late Harry J. and Esther M. (Olsen) Jensen and was a 1948 graduate of Gardner High School.
Linea worked as an administrative secretary at the former Walter E. Fernald School in Baldwinville for over ten years until her retirement. An avid gardener, she did beautiful needlework and enjoyed reading. Her greatest enjoyment was spending time with her family. She was a member of Faith Lutheran Church and the former Covenant Evangelical Lutheran Church.
Her husband of 48 years, Felix Tkaczyk, died in 1997. She leaves a daughter, Karen L. Sugalski of Gardner; a grandson, Derek R. Sugalski and his wife Heidi of Ashland; a great granddaughter, Julia Lynn Sugalski; a brother, Ingar “Pete” Jensen of Missoula, Montana, as well as nieces and nephews. A brother, Harold Jensen, preceded her in death.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, December 30th at 11 A.M. in Stone-Ladeau Funeral Home, 343 Central Street, Winchendon. The Rev. Richard Olson will officiate. Burial will follow in Wildwood Cemetery.
Calling hours in the funeral home are Tuesday, December 30th from 10 to 11 A.M. preceding the funeral.
