WINCHENDON - Loretta T. (Gagne) LaClair, 83, of 265 West Street, Winchendon, died Monday, February 12th in her residence, following an illness. She was born in Winchendon on September 30,1923, the daughter of Adolphe and Adelaide (St. Laurent) Gagne, and was a lifelong resident. Loretta was a graduate of Murdock High School with the Class of 1941. Her husband of 46 years, Armand D. LaClair, died in 1988. Loretta was a communicant of Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, and was a life member of the Eugene M. Connor Post 193 American Legion Auxiliary. She was an avid Red Sox fan and enjoyed crossword puzzles, needlework, and enjoyed tremendously the monthly luncheons with her classmates. She was a wonderful mother. Loretta leaves a daughter, Sandra A. LaClair, with whom she lived; a brother, Francis G. Gagne of Marlborough; a sister, Anita G. Stock of Cape Coral, FL. and several nephews and nieces. Following cremation, a committal service will be held in Calvary Cemetery in the spring. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Gardner Visiting Nursing Association Hospice Program, 34 Pearly Lane, Gardner, MA. 01440.
