WINCHENDON – Lorraine (Champagne) Vaillancourt, 67, of 19 Vine Street, Winchendon, died Saturday morning, October 20th in Heywood Hospital, Gardner with her family at her side.
She was born in Templeton on April 19, 1945, daughter of the late Albert and Bertha (Landry) Champagne and had lived in Winchendon most of her life.
Lorraine worked at Ray Plastics for several years. She enjoyed cooking and cleaning and flowers. She also loved to shop and especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.
She leaves her husband, Robert A. Vaillancourt; five children Albert R. Vaillancourt and his companion Robin Steinbring of Winchendon, Gregory A. Vaillancourt and his companion Joe of Dunnellon, FL, Johnathan M. Vaillancourt of Winchendon, Pamela A. Vaillancourt and her companion Wayne Jarvenpaa of Royalston and Elizabeth M. Nolette and her husband Mike of Gardner; two brothers, Joseph Champagne of Athol and Albert Champagne Jr of N.H.; a half brother Wilfred Morrissette of Maine, a half-sister Florence Lafrennie of Winchendon; her longtime boyfriend Roger Cochran of Winchendon, nine grandchildren and many nephews and nieces. A daughter, Angela L. Vaillancourt, died in 2002; a son, Michael Vaillancourt died in 1974, and a sister, Exilda M. Wedge Damon, died in 2011.
Graveside services will be held Thursday, October 25th at 10 A.M. in Riverside Cemetery, Winchendon.
Calling hours will be held Wednesday, October 24th from 6 to 8 P.M. in Stone-Ladeau Funeral Home, 343 Central Street, Winchendon.
