WINCHENDON – Lorraine D. (Nolette) Richard, 84, of 41 Joslin Road, Winchendon, died peacefully Friday evening, April 6th in Wachusett Manor Nursing Home, Gardner.
She was born in Fitchburg on July 9, 1927, daughter of the late Adelard and Antoinette (Gagne) Nolette and lived in Winchendon for most of her life.
Lorraine worked for many years as an assembly worker for Independent Lock in Fitchburg. She was a member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, Eugene M. Connor Post 193 American Legion Ladies Auxiliary and Lt. Frederick Wilder White Post 2158 VFW Ladies Auxiliary. Lorraine loved to sing and dance and especially treasured time with her family.
Her husband of 51 years, Ernest J. “Archie” Richard, died in 2001. She leaves three daughters, Elaine D. Kinner and her husband Skip of Winchendon, Linda L. Gale and her husband Ted of Ft. McCoy, FL and Lisa M. Aho and her husband Ernie of Winchendon; one brother Robert L. Nolette of Turners Falls, MA; three sisters, Lucille A. Moriarty of Winchendon, Doris L. Lafond and her husband Felix of Sweet Home, OR and Rita Y. Amenta and her husband Arthur of Winchendon; nine grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, one great great grandson and many nephews and nieces. Three brothers, Roland Nolette, Romeo Nolette and Rev. Roger J. Nolette, predeceased her.
Funeral services will be held Friday, April 13th from Stone-Ladeau Funeral Home, 343 Central Street, Winchendon followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 A.M. in Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, 52 Spruce Street.
Calling hours in the funeral home will be Thursday, April 12th from 6 to 8 P.M.
Interment will be in Massachusetts Veterans’ Memorial Cemetery Winchendon at a later date.
