Lorraine M. (Brow) Gendron
April 21, 1927 — January 25, 2015
WINCHENDON – Lorraine M. (Brow) Gendron, 87, formerly of 102 Ipswich Drive, died peacefully Sunday morning, January 25th in Baldwinville Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Baldwinville.
She was born in Winchendon on April 21, 1927, daughter of the late John D. and Madeline M. (Ryan) Brow and graduated from Murdock High School in 1944. Lorraine later graduated from the former St. George Beauty Academy, Jaffrey in 1955.
Lorraine owned and operated Lorraine’s Beauty Salon for 35 years until her retirement in 1987. She was a member of Eugene M. Connor Post 193 American Legion Auxiliary and was a former member of Winchendon Woman’s Club and Winchendon Country Club, where she was a past president of its Lady Golfers Association.
Her husband of 45 years, A. Francis Gendron, died in 1992. She was also preceded in death by her two sons, Francis S. Gendron of Okeechobee, FL, died in 1993 and Stephen F. Gendron of Winchendon, who died in 2001. She leaves two grandchildren, Corey M. Gendron of Worcester and Lindsee B. Gendron of Hopkinton; a great granddaughter, Avery Gendron; a sister, Irene B. Moore of Winchendon; a daughter-in- law, Patricia D. (Arceci) Gendron of Winchendon and many nieces and nephews. A sister, Dorothy M. Sibley, died in 2008 and a brother, Raymond Brow died in 1987.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, January 29th at 11 A.M. in Stone-Ladeau Funeral Home, 343 Central Street. A calling hour will precede the funeral from 10 to 11 A.M. Thursday.
Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery in the spring.
