Madeleine M. (Breton) Couture

WINCHENDON - Madeleine M. (Breton) Couture, 78, of 126 Ipswich Drive, Winchendon, died peacefully Monday evening, March 16th in the Wachusett Manor Nursing Home, Gardner, surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Winchendon on August 14,1930, the daughter of the late Leon J.E. and Josephine (Joyce) Breton and was a lifelong resident of Winchendon. Madeleine was employed at Toy Town Factory Outlet for many years until her retirement at the age of 62. She was a member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Church. She enjoyed knitting, camping, cooking and loved her family very much. Her husband of 53 years, Albert H. Couture, died in 2004. She leaves three daughters, Marie A. Caouette and her husband Stephen of Winchendon, Jennifer L. Allaire and her husband Roger of Winchendon and Jo-Ann D. Carpenter and her husband Douglas of East Templeton; two sisters, Shirley C. Mowrey of Gardner and Leona E. Preble of West Newbury, seven grandchildren, nine great grandchildren and several nephews and nieces. A grandson, Stephen Caouette, Jr., predeceased her. Funeral services will be held Friday, March 20th at 10 A.M. in the Snow-Ladeau Funeral Home, 343 Central Street, Winchendon. The Rev. Francis A. Roberge will officiate. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Calling hours in the funeral home will be Thursday, March 19th from 6 to 8 P.M.
