Mafalda M. (Santini) Koldys

TEMPLETON - Mafalda M. "Muffy" (Santini) Koldys, 88, of 18 Pine Street, Baldwinville died Monday, December 14th. She was born in Winchendon on April 30,1921, the daughter of the late Lougi and Venusta (Panaroni) Santini, and grew up in Winchendon, graduating from Murdock High School in 1939. Since 1949, she had lived in Baldwinville. Muffy was a bank officer at Gardner Savings Bank, where she worked for 25 years, until her retirement in 1986. She was a former secretary of the Savings Bank Womens Association of Massachusetts. She was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Church and had been a former volunteer at Heywood Hospital. She enjoyed playing cards with her dear friend, Alice Rota of Baldwinville. She also loved to travel and took many trips with her family, both in this country and abroad. Her husband of 52 years, Edmond L. Koldys, died in 1995. She leaves a daughter, Barbara A. Koldys of Baldwinville, a grandson, David E. Koldys, Jr and a great grandson, David E. Koldys, 3rd. In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by her son, David E. Koldys, who died in 1982, and three brothers, Nestoro Santini, Augusto Santini and Basilio Santini. A memorial service and burial will be held at a later date. There are no calling hours.
