Margaret R. (Stone) LaBarge

June 18, 1938 — February 17, 2016

BALDWINVILLE – Margaret R. “Margo” (Stone) LaBarge, 77, of 12 Prospect Street, died peacefully Wednesday morning, February 17th in Health Alliance Leominster Hospital.

She was born in Gardner on June 18, 1938, the middle child of the late John C. and Marion R. (Mason) Stone and was raised in Baldwinville.  Margo was a resident of Winchendon for 25 years until moving back to Baldwinville in 1983.

Margo was a short order cook at the former Paul’s Variety and also worked as a bookkeeper at her husband’s construction company.  For the last 23 years, she worked with her husband in the family business Stuff N Things of Winchendon until the business closed two years ago.  Margo was well known for her cooking, her favorite hobby.  She also greatly enjoyed spending time with her family.

She leaves her husband of 58 years, Paul A. LaBarge; her children, Brenda J. LaBarge of Winchendon, Brian J. LaBarge and his wife Amy of Leominster and Mark R. LaBarge and his wife Joan of Winchendon; a brother, Paul “Butch” Stone of Washington; a sister, Beatrice Walker of Phillipston; many grandchildren, several great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.  A son, Paul A. LaBarge Jr., died in 2010.

Private funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family.  Burial will be in Massachusetts Veteran’s Memorial Cemetery, Winchendon.

A celebration of her life will be announced at a future date.
