Marian A. Dery

WINCHENDON - Marian A. (Ackert) Dery, 81, of 32 Chestnut Street, Winchendon, died Sunday, July 30th at her residence. She was born in Florida, Massachusetts on June 17,1925, the daughter of Arthur P. and Mabel (Hall) Ackert, and had lived in Winchendon for over 60 years. Marian worked as a cloth spreader at the former Winchendon Fashion for over 20 years. She later worked as an assembler at C.R. Bard Company in Fitzwilliam, NH until her retirement. She was a member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, Eugene M. Connor Post 193 American Legion Auxiliary and A.A.R.P. Her hobbies included playing golf, bingo and reading. Her husband of 55 years, Jeremiah D. "Jerry" Dery, died in 2004. She leaves two sons, Robert J. Ackert and Jack A. Ackert, both of Barre; a daughter, Susan Dery Allmond of Winchendon; four sisters, May B. Robichaud of Gardner, Lillian R. Towers of Spokane, WA.; Maude E. Huntoon of Tacoma, WA. and June A. Sawyer of Winchendon; eight grandchildren, many great grandchildren, three great great grandchildren and many nephews and nieces. Funeral services will be held at 10 A.M. Friday, August 4th in the Snow-Ladeau Funeral Home, 343 Central Street, Winchendon. The Rev. Francis A. Roberge will officiate. Burial will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Fitchburg.
