WINCHENDON – Marilyn A. (Pineault) Cochran, 78, of 831 Central Street, Winchendon made her peaceful journey to heaven Saturday morning, June 29th, surrounded by her loving family by her side in Baldwinville Nursing Home, Baldwinville, following a long illness.
She was born in Jaffrey, NH on January 25, 1935, daughter of the late Leo and Rose (Martin) Pineault and lived in Winchendon for most of her life.
Marilyn met her loving husband Paul A. Cochran on a beautiful summer day at Lake Monadnock and they were married on July 19, 1952. After he returned from the Korean War, they enjoyed a long marriage and fun raising their daughters. Marilyn received her GED.
Marilyn worked as an evening supervisor at the The Winchendon School before her retirement. She was a former Sunday School teacher.
Marilyn enjoyed working in her gardens, going on bicycle rides, walking her dog, being with her family, taking trips to the ocean and traveling.
She leaves her husband of 60 years, Paul A. Cochran; three daughters, Paula Whitaker and her husband James of Winchendon, Karla O’Malley and her husband Daniel of Rindge, NH and Donna Cochran and her partner Ralph Bellette of Winchendon; two brothers, Paul Pineault of Fitchburg and George Pineault of Winchendon, ten grandchildren (how she loved her grandchildren), 13 great grandchildren and several nephews and nieces.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, July 3rd at 11 A.M. in Stone-Ladeau Funeral Home, 343 Central Street, Winchendon. Burial will follow in Riverside Cemetery.
Calling hours in the funeral home are Tuesday, July 2nd from 5 to 7 P.M.
