Marion E. Witt

Marion Emily Harrington Witt age 95 passed away peacefully on Friday, August 7, 2020, at 4:45 p.m. in Houston, TX due to complications from COVID 19.

She was the beloved and devoted mother of Richard Phillip Witt, Jr. and Barry Kevin Witt and loving grandmother of Katrina Witt and Julianna Witt. She was predeceased by her loving husband of 60 years, Richard Phillip Witt, Sr. who died in 2008.

Marion was born in Winchendon, Massachusetts on November 5, 1924, daughter of the late Berton Harrington and Lillian Mann. She graduated from Murdock High School in Winchendon, and graduated from Bryant College.

After WW II, she married Richard Witt and they both worked for the Bureau of Standards in Washington D.C. in the early 1950’s before she became a full-time and wonderful, loving Mother. In later years, she worked as a Manager for Thermo Electron in Waltham, MA for several years.

Marion’s family will honor and remember her at a ceremony at Riverside Cemetery in Winchendon on October 5th.
