Mary "May" (LeBlanc) Riedel, 50, of Winchendon, passed away far too soon, October
13, 2022, with her husband by her side, after a long illness.
She leaves her husband, Jason Riedel; two daughters, Samantha Rousseau and
grandson Dakota of Gardner and Tyler Rousseau of Gardner; her father, Ernest
LeBlanc of Fitchburg; her mother, Adeline (D’Ambroise) Lolli of Fitchburg; one sister,
Anne Dewey and her husband Shaun of Winchendon; one brother, Richard LeBlanc
and his wife Erica of TN and several nieces and nephews.
May was born in Fitchburg on May 1, 1972. She attended Saint Joseph’s Catholic
School, in Cleghorn where she grew up, and was a 1990 graduate of Montachusett
Regional Vocational Technical School. She worked many years as a Hairdresser along
with various other jobs. One of her fondest hobbies and talents was photography and
various other handmade crafts and creations all known as Amayze Originals. She
enjoyed scenic rides through the countryside, flea markets, fairs and antiquing with her
husband and spending time with her daughters and grandson. There are countless and
unforgettable memories spent with friends and loved ones in her infamous front porch
“The Bajanjo Room”.
Her outlook on Life was to always LIVE, LAUGH, LOVE. She was fun-loving, free
spirited and kindhearted who always put the needs of others before her own, yet when
she needed to be, in her own words she was “strong like a bull”. She loved life and had
the ability to light up the room, lifting the spirits of those around her, making us all feel
special. She was one of those people that you meet and immediately they have an impact
on your life. Her wisdom, sense of humor and positive outlook on life advice will be
everlasting. She was a fantastic cook who could make a delicious meal out of any
available ingredients. She loved nature and all animals, especially the family dog
“Sunshine”. She had a deep devotion and love for her family and friends and was
always willing to help and assist people in need, even a stranger. She was a woman
who was full of life and was always full of joy. She was always smiling, happy and was
a bright light in the world.
