WINCHENDON – Many Ann (LaFlamme) Covey, 72, of 53 Alger Street, died peacefully Sunday afternoon, March 29th, in Heywood Hospital, Gardner, with her family at her side.
She was born in Gardner on December 26, 1942, daughter of the late Bernard and Hazel (Fuller) LaFlamme and had lived in Winchendon for 40 years.
Mary Ann had worked as a machine operator at the former Collier Keyworth Company in Gardner for many years and then worked as a bookkeeper for local businesses. She was active in the daily activities at the Winchendon Senior Center. Mary Ann was a volunteer at Montachusett Veterans Outreach Centers in Gardner and Winchendon. She had earned her GED and supported several charities.
She leaves her husband of 40 years, Harold A. Covey; three children, Edward J. Larson of New Hampshire, Heidi A. Hagan and her husband Brian Sr. of Templeton and David A. Covey of Winchendon; four stepchildren, Harold A. Covey Jr of Winchendon, Lica Theriault and her husband David of Templeton, William J. Covey of Winchendon and John A. Covey and his wife Rose of Templeton, many grandchildren and many great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Friday, April 3rd at 11 A.M. in Stone-Ladeau Funeral Home, 343 Central Street, Winchendon. The Rev. Stephanie Flynn will officiate.
Calling hours in the funeral home are Friday from 9 to 11 A.M. preceding the funeral.
