Mary E. Malo

HUBBARDSTON – Mary E. (Marean) Malo, 93, of 3 Old Princeton Road, died Monday, June 28, 2021 in Alliance Health at Baldwinville.

She was born in Hubbardston on April 19, 1928, the daughter of the late Granville and Annie Louise (Heald) Marean and was a lifelong resident of Hubbardston.  Mary graduated from the former Worcester Girls Trade School.

Mary worked as a woodworker for several Gardner furniture companies.  She enjoyed crocheting, knitting, working on puzzles and playing bingo with her friends at the Hubbardston Senior Center.

She was predeceased by a son, Theodore Malo Jr.; four sisters, Doris Holden, Gladys Hakala, Helen Marean and Myrtle Loukochefsky; two brothers, Warren Marean and William Marean.

She leaves seven grandchildren; Heidi Malo-Culkin, Kristi Wall, Mary A. Malo, Gina Beauregard, Steven LeBlanc, Tammy Coller and Michael LeBlanc;  many great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.  She also leaves two nieces, whom she was especially close to Estelle Higley and Sandy Standish.

Funeral services will be private and at the convenience of the family.

Memorial donations may be made to Hubbardston Senior Center.
