Mary E. (Morlock) Bosworth

WINCHENDON - Mary E. (Morlock) Bosworth, 103, of 22 Simsbury Road, West Hartford, CT., and formerly of Winchendon, died Monday, November 21st in the Sunrise Assisted Living in West Hartford, following an illness. She was born in Winchendon on June 28,1902, the daughter of Charles H. and Nora J. (Murphy) Morlock and resided there until moving to West Hartfod several years ago to be near her niece. Mary was a graduate of Murdock High School in Winchendon with the Class of 1919 and Boston University in 1926. She was a certified professional secretary for the White family, and was postmistress at the Winchendon Springs Post Office from 1959 to 1972. Mary was a communicant of Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, and was a life member of the Murdock Alumni Association, Boston University Alumni Association, and the Heywood Hospital Aid Association. She was a former member of the Winchendon Golden Age Club, and the Winchendon Garden Club. Mary traveled extensively and visited many foreign countries. Her husband, Marshall L. Bosworth, died in 1977. She leaves a nephew, Kenneth Morlock and his wife, Evelyn; five nieces, Barbara Libby and her husband William, Norma LaFortune and her husband Maurice, Phyllis Barnes and her husband Bill, Dorothy Brehio, Carla Perez, and several great nieces, great nephews, great great nieces and great great nephews. Funeral services will be held Monday, November 28th from the Snow-Ladeau Funeral Home, 343 Central Street, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 A.M. in Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, 52 Spruce Street. Burial will take place in Calvary Cemetery. A calling hour will be held in the funeral home on Monday from 8:30 A.M. to 9:30 A.M.
