Mary Jane Luszey Herr

GARDNER - Mary Jane (Robertson) Luszey Herr, 84, of Gardner, died Wednesday morning, May 2nd in Heywood Hospital, Gardner. She was born in Michigantown, IN. on February 5,1923, the daughter of Omer and Mabel (Avery) Robertson and had lived in Gardner since 1966. For many years, Mary Jane worked as a waitress at the Old Mill Restaurant in Westminster. During World War Two, she served in the Navy. In her later years, she opened her home to veterans, providing extended family care to veterans of all ages. She enjoyed her family, which included eight children, 17 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. She enjoyed enjoyed many things, but loved to involve the little ones in the kitchen with her. They loved to cook with Gramma. She will be missed by many of her dear friends and family. Her husband, Paul A. Herr, Jr., died in 1995. She leaves eight children, Theresa Wilson of Hudson, NH, Dianne Deeney of Hudson, NH, Leona MacDonald of Gardner, Thaddeaus Luszey of Hudson, NH, William Luszey of Hudson, NH, Robert Luszey of Hudson, NH, Bruce Luszey of Franklin, NH and Paul A. Herr of Gardner; 17 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 5th at 2 P.M. in the Snow-Ladeau Funeral Home, 343 Central Street, Winchendon. Calling hours in the funeral home will be Friday, May 4th from 6 to 8 P.M. and Saturday, May 5th from 1 to 2 P.M.
