Mary L. (Calcia) Thibodeau

WINCHENDON - Mary L. (Calcia) Thibodeau, 83, of Winchendon returned to her God, surrounded by her loving family on Monday, December 14th, in UMASS Memorial Medical Center, University Campus,Worcester. She was born in Berlin, MA on September 27,1926, the oldest of seven siblings of the late Anthony and Mary (O'Toole) Calcia and had lived in Winchendon for 30 years. She previously lived in Ashburnham for ten years. Mary attended Worcester Girls Trade School, where she loved to study and play baseball. She left school, at the time of her father's death, to help her family. She was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Church in Baldwinville. She loved animals, cooking and gardening. Her greatest enjoyment came from spending time with her family. Her husband of 54 years, Percy D. Thibodeau, died in 1999. She leaves nine children, Anne M. Tibbetts and her husband Ralph of New Ipswich, NH, Nancy Makela and her husband David of Whitinsville, Mary Kirby and her husband Donald of Hubbardston, Kathleen Ouellette of Royalston, Robert A. Thibodeau of Millersburg, PA, Richard A. Thibodeau of Gardner, Cecilia J. Thibodeau and her significant other Dave Fenner of Winchendon, Daniel J. Thibodeau and his wife Sandy of Winchendon and Elizabeth Ricord and her husband Michael of Winchendon; one brother, Robert Calcia of Sterling; three sisters, Dorothy Carlson of Princeton, Kathy Belair of Sterling and Antoinette Thibeault of Sterling, as well as 19 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren. A grandson, Andrew Thibodeau; two sisters, Rosalie Regonini and Marguarite Tobine, and a son-in-law Dennis Ouellette, predeceased her. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, December 18th at 11 A.M. in St. Vincent de Paul Church, 1 Forest Street, Baldwinville. Burial will be in St. John's Cemetery, Lancaster. Calling hours in the Stone-Ladeau Funeral Home, 343 Central Street, Winchendon are Friday, December 18th from 9 to 10:30 A.M.
