WINCHENDON - May E. (Crosby) Earle, 94, of 123 Ipswich Drive, Winchendon, died peacefully at home early Tuesday morning, March 6th, with her loving family at her side. She was born in Rindge, N.H. on May 10,1912, the daughter of John B. and Theresa (Trucolo) Crosby, and had been a resident of Winchendon since 1960. May worked many years ago as a polisher at New Hampshire Ball Bearing in Peterborough. She loved crocheting and made many afghans and handkerchiefs. She especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. Her husband, Douglas Earle, died in 1989. She leaves two daughters, Theresa Brazawskis and Elizabeth M. "Betty" Stewart, both of Winchendon; a step daughter, Sharlene Ford of Gardner, a stepson, Raymond Earle of Renssalear, NY; and many grandchildren, many great grandchildren and many nephews and nieces. May was predeceased by a son, John Wilder, who died in 1987, as well as two sisters, Dorothy Stannard and Ruth Piccola, and a brother, John Crosby. Graveside services will be held in Riverside Cemetery, Winchendon in the spring. There are no calling hours. Memorial donations may be made to the charity of one's choice.
