WINCHENDON – Michael A. “Mike” McGregor, 49, of 25 Phyllis Road, Winchendon died Saturday, February 8th in Heywood Hospital, Gardner from injuries suffered in a snow mobile accident near Lake Dennison.
He was born in Leominster on March 1, 1964, son of Kenneth F. and Judith (Ellis) McGregor of Leominster and graduated from Leominster Trade School in 1982. Mike had lived in Winchendon for 22 years.
Mike was a superintendent at Seaman Paper Mill in Otter River, where he had worked for 24 years. He enjoyed camping, golfing with his brother and work friends, and snowmobiling. His greatest enjoyment was spending time with his family.
In addition to his parents, he leaves his wife of 29 years, Elizabeth A. “Betsy” (Poirier) McGregor; his sons, James J. McGregor and Travis J. McGregor of Winchendon; a brother, Russell F. McGregor of Orange; his in-laws, Mariette Poirier of Winchendon and Joseph “Skip” Poirier and his wife Joan of Leominster and his little girls, Evie and Peanut. A son, Alan M. McGregor, preceded him in death.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, February 15th at 11 A.M. in St. Vincent de Paul Church, 1 Forest Street, Baldwinville.
