Myra V. (Davis) Robinson

WINCHENDON - Myra V. (Davis) Robinson, 89, formerly of 157 West Street, Winchendon, died peacefully Tuesday afternoon, October 12th in UMASS Memorial Medical Center, University Campus, Worcester.
She was born in Stanstead, Quebec, Canada on August 5, 1921, one of ten children of the late Ernest and Elizabeth (Pomroy) Davis and had lived in Winchendon since 1948. Myra had worked as a senior aide at Montachusett Home Care years ago. She was a member of the United Parish of Winchendon and its Womens' Fellowship. She was also a member of the Golden Age Club and the former Winchendon Womens' Club. Myra attended Stanstead Wesleyan College in Stanstead, Quebec, Canada. She enjoyed cross country skiing, ice skating, gardening and camping near the beach on Cape Cod and in Gloucester. She and her husband, George, took pleasure on several cruises to the Caribbean in their retirement years. She especially enjoyed spending time with her family. Her specialty was cooking blueberry pies, blueberry cakes and blueberry muffins. She and George picked their own blueberries in their back yard in Winchendon every summer for many years.
Her husband of 57 years, George M. Robinson, died in 1998. She leaves three sons, Grover M. Robinson and his wife Leah of Spofford, NH, Dale A. Robinson of Winchendon and Dean Robinson of Keene, NH; one brother, Roy Davis of Derby Line, VT; three grandchildren, Eric Robinson, Jennifer Johnston and Christi Cook; two great grandchildren, Matthew and Piper Cook and many nephews and nieces. She was predeceased by her brothers and sisters, Martha Fedele, Ernestine Bromby, Helen Smith, Ruth Reynolds, Harold Davis, Avery Davis, Melville Davis and Alfred Davis.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, October 16th at 11 A.M. in the Stone-Ladeau Funeral Home, 343 Central Street, Winchendon. The Rev. F. Calvin Miller will officiate. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery.
