Nancy Jean (Howard) Casperson passed away at home the morning of November 15, 2024, peacefully after a 20+ year battle with Huntington’s disease. Her family, with the assistance of Care Central VNA Hospice support, were her primary Care-Givers which allowed her to remain at home during her courageous battle. Nancy grew up in Saugus, MA and began her career in Human Services as a teenager, graduated from Saugus High in 1981 and received an Asssociates degree from North Shore Community College in 1986. Nancy relocated to the North Central MA area and dedicated over thirty years to the betterment and care of the developmentally challenged, including directing the transition of Institutionalized individuals into community placements. Nancy leaves behind a legacy of kindness and strength. She touched so many lives. She leaves behind her husband of 38 years, Jim, of Winchendon as well as a daughter Anika Beauregard and husband Derek. Her son Hunter and his partner Khristina St. Louis. She leaves behind siblings Kathleen Scandura and husband Thomas, and Dianne Howard, as well as Warren Howard Jr and wife Laura, and several nieces and nephews. Her great joy was in seeing her four grandchildren; Acacia, Cadeau, and Vada Beauregard and Zita Casperson of Winchendon grow and develop.
Calling hours will be held on Saturday, December 7, 2024 from 11 am - 1 pm in the Stone-Ladeau Funeral Home, 343 Central St., Winchendon.
