WINCHENDON - Nancy A. (Cormier) Hill, 73, of 37 Royalston Road North, Winchendon, formerly of Templeton, died Saturday afternoon, June 12th in UMASS Memorial Healthcare, University Campus, Worcester, after a short illness. She was born in Gardner on December 11, 1936, the daughter of the late Herve and Ruth (Wicklund) Cormier and had lived in Winchendon for 15 years. She previously lived in Templeton for many years. Nancy worked for many years as manager and head waitress of the former Templeton Lunch. She later worked at Collier Keyworth Company in Gardner. A 1954 graduate of the former Templeton High School, Nancy loved camping, reading, cooking, listening to country music and watching and following the Boston Red Sox. She especially loved spending time at Old Orchard Beach and had been a winter resident of Florida from 1989 to 2003. She leaves her husband of 53 years, Rodney E. Hill; one son, Stephen E. Hill and his wife Debra Bezio of Orange; five grandchildren, Erik Hill, Brianne Bastarache, Beth Houston, Harmony Hill and Alex Hill; two step grandchildren, Nathan Bezio and Andrew Bezio and three great grandchildren, Hannah Houston, Bryce Houston and Joey Bastarache. Nancy was predeceased by her daughter, Shelley R. Hill, a grandson Stephen Bradley Hill and a brother, Thomas Cormier. Funeral services will be held Thursday, June 17th at 1 P.M. in Stone-Ladeau Funeral Home, 343 Central Street, Winchendon. The Rev. David R. Cote will officiate. Calling hours in the funeral home are Thursday, June 17th from 11 AM to 1 PM preceding the funeral. Burial will be in Wildwood Cemetery, Gardner at the convenience of the family.
