Patricia E. Christopher

WORCESTER – Patricia Eileen Christopher, 77, died peacefully Tuesday evening, June 25, 2019 in St. Mary’s Health Care Center in Worcester.

She was born in Worcester on August 19, 1941, daughter of the late Joseph J. and Josephine (Rzasa) Christopher.  Pat entered the Sisters of St. Joseph in 1959 and was a Catholic school teacher at St. Mary’s in Southbridge, as well as in other places.

Pat received her Master’s Degree in Natural Science from Worcester Polytechnic Institute in 1974.  She had two beloved pets, Casey, a dalmatian dog and Meghan, her cat.

Pat served for a brief time at St. Joseph’s Abbey Infirmary in Spencer.  She had volunteered her time with Religious Education in Warren at St. Paul Parish, and then in Winchendon as the priest’s housekeeper.  She enjoyed spiritual reading, going on retreats and prayer.

Pat leaves her sister, Sr. Eileen Joseph Christopher, SSJ, a sister of St. Joseph, who is now at Bethany Health Care Center in Framingham.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, June 29, 2019 at 10:30 A.M. in Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, 52 Spruce Street, Winchendon.

A calling hour will be held in church Saturday from 9:30 to 10:30 A.M. preceding her mass.

Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Winchendon.
