ORANGE – Paul J. Jankowski, 71, of 36 Cheney Street, Orange, died peacefully Tuesday morning, February 19th in Baystate Medical Center, Springfield.
He was born in Pittsburg, PA on January 14, 1942, son of the late Walter and Margaret (Kane) Jankowski and lived in Orange for several years.
Paul had worked as a sprayer for S. Bent Brothers Furniture Company in Gardner for many years. He proudly served his country as a member of the United States Army during the Vietnam War. Paul enjoyed gardening, fishing and his dog Sam. He also loved maintaining his tropical fish tank and spending time with his nephews and nieces. Paul was a former member of the Gardner American Legion Post #129.
He leaves his wife of 22 years, Lucille A. (Moore) Jankowski; a daughter Dawn Chamberlain of FL; a brother, Francis Jankowski of Pittsburg; a sister, Rosemarie Jankowski of Pittsburg, as well as several grandchildren, nephews and nieces.
A private military funeral service will be held in Massachusetts Veterans’ Memorial Cemetery, 111 Glenallen Street, Winchendon.
