Penny Y. Putnam

WINCHENDON - Penny Y. (Cornwell) Putnam, 62, of 18 Goodrich Drive, died peacefully Thursday morning, February 15, 2018 in HealthAlliance Leominster Hospital.

She was born in Alexandria, VA on March 8, 1955, daughter of Shirley (Rose) Cornwell of Virginia and the late George L. Cornwell and had lived in Winchendon for several years.

Penny had worked as a machine operator and factory worker at Millipore, Garlock Printing and Simplex Time Recorder.  Her hobbies were sewing, crocheting and reading.  Her greatest enjoyment was spending time with her family.

Her husband, Woodrow J. "Bo" Putnam, died in December.  In addition to her mother, she leaves two sons, Brian A. Putnam and Derek A. Putnam of Winchendon; two grandchildren, Audrina and Cassidy Putnam; a sister, Wanda Rakes of VA, a brother, Roger Cornwell of VA and several nieces and nephews.  A sister, Sherry Tyler, predeceased her.

Private funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family.
