WINCHENDON – Phyllis V. (Trottier) Priest, 90, formerly of 31 Ash Street, died peacefully Tuesday evening, February 3rd in Sterling Village, Sterling, with her family at her side.
She was born in Winchendon on November 11, 1924, daughter of the late Arthur and Anna (Gamache) Trottier and was a 1942 graduate of Murdock High School. In 1944, she graduated from Brockton Hospital School of Nursing.
Phyllis worked for many years as a registered nurse at the former Winchendon Hospital until her retirement in 1978. She was a member of Unitarian Universalist Society and its Putnam Alliance.
Her husband of 67 years, Mardis E. Priest, died in 2013. She leaves two sons, David R. Priest and his wife Lucinda of Leominster and Glenn R. Priest and his wife Mary of Surry, NH; four grandchildren, David M. Priest, Sara Consalvo, Mark Priest and Elisabeth Priest, four great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Private funeral services will be held in Stone-Ladeau Funeral Home, 343 Central Street, Winchendon. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery in the spring.
