WINCHENDON – Raymond P. Dubois, 76, of 36 Second Street, died unexpectedly Thursday, February 5th at his residence.
He was born in New Bedford, MA on March 8, 1938, son of the late Omer and Margaret (Berube) Dubois and had lived in Winchendon for 42 years. He previously had lived in Grafton.
Ray was a certified registered nurse anesthetist and had worked at Leominster Hospital for many years until his retirement. He was a graduate of Worcester City Hospital School of Nursing and St. Vincent Hospital School of Anesthesiology.
Ray was a member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Church and was an avid movie fan. His hobbies were gardening and boating. His greatest enjoyment was spending time with his family and grandchildren.
He leaves his wife of 47 years, Louise K. (Antaya) Dubois; two children, John M. Dubois and his wife Liz Knapp of Calais, VT and Michelle M. Dubois-Robertson and her husband Phillip Robertson of East Hardwick, VT; four grandchildren, Amelia Louise Dubois, Molly Joan Dubois, Calvin Robertson and Elias Robertson; a sister Priscilla Lydon of FL; two brothers, Richard Dubois of Michigan and Robert Dubois of FL; his close friends, David and Lin Anderson of Winchendon and several nieces and nephews. A brother, Donald Dubois predeceased him.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday, February 10th at 11 A.M. in Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, 52 Spruce Street. A calling hour will be held Tuesday from 9:30 to 10:30 AM in Stone-Ladeau Funeral Home, 343 Central Street preceding the mass.
