Regina A. Whitcomb

FITZWILLIAM, NH - Regina A. (Lafond) Whitcomb, 78, of 835 NH RT 12 South, died peacefully Saturday morning, November 19, 2016 in Maplewood Nursing Home, Westmoreland, NH with her family at her side.

She was born in Winchendon, MA on June 23, 1938 daughter of the late Richard and Rosanna (Beauvais) Lafond and grew up in Winchendon.  For over 46 years, she was a resident of Fitzwilliam.

Regina worked at CR Bard in Fitzwilliam in quality control for 23 years.  She enjoyed embroidery, word puzzles, baking and reading.  Her greatest enjoyment was spending time with her family.

Her husband of 39 years, Wendall W. Whitcomb, died in 2005.  She leaves two children, Susan Whitcomb of Swanzey, NH and Barbara Goodwin and her husband Randy of Winchendon; a stepdaughter Cheryl Arlen and her husband Darrell of Sullivan, NH; a brother, Robert Lafond and his wife Sandy of Gardner; a sister, Roberta Hannula and her husband Roland of Long Island, NY; her  companion of 8 years, David Ellis of Fitzwilliam, seven grandchildren, several great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.  A brother, Richard Lafond and a sister, Rose (Lafond) Chicoine, preceded her in death.

Graveside services will be held Saturday, November 26, 2016 at 1 P.M. in Village Cemetery, Fitzwilliam.  There are no calling hours.
