Rev. Paul Stenstrom
February 4, 1937 — March 25, 2011
WINCHENDON – Rev. Paul H. Stenstrom, 74, of 5 Otter River Road, Winchendon, died peacefully Friday morning, March 25 th in the University of Massachusetts Medical Center, Worcester.
He was born in Chicago, IL on February 4, 1937, the son of the late Paul and Violet (Hoffmann) Stenstrom and had lived in Winchendon for 14 years.
Rev. Stenstrom graduated from Wheaton College in Wheaton, IL and Bethel Seminary in St. Paul, MN. He served Baptist General Conference churches in Marion, Iowa, Orlando, Florida, Minneapolis, MN, Wheaton, IL, Wilmington, Delaware and Winchendon, MA. In 2007, he retired as a full time pastor at the age of 70. He was an Elder at First Baptist Church in Leominster.
Rev. Stenstrom enjoyed photography, tinkering with cars, classical music, sports and history. He was a fan of both the Boston Red Sox and Boston Celtics. He mostly enjoyed spending time with his family.
He leaves his wife of 50 years, Marjorie (Elven) Stenstrom; three sons, Peter N. Stenstrom and his wife Lois of St. Charles, IL, David P. Stenstrom and his wife Pollianne of Keene, NH and Matthew C. Stenstrom and his wife Nicole of Roseville, MN; eight grandchildren, Jacob, Hannah, Boston, Jordan, Micah, Judah, Maxwell and Isabella; one sister, Nancy Miller of Winfield, Kansas; his mother- in- law, Jean Elven and brother- in- law, Charles Elven.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, March 29 th at 11 A.M. in First Baptist Church, 23 West Street, Leominster. The Rev. Lars Larson will officiate.
Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery, Sycamore, IL.
Calling hours in Stone-Ladeau Funeral Home, 343 Central Street, Winchendon are Monday, March 28 th from 5 to 8 P.M.
