Gardner-Richard P. Vaillancourt, 63, passed from this life into eternal life Saturday, September 2, 2023, at UMass Medical Center in Worcester after a sudden illness.
He leaves his daughter, Rebecca Mikuszewski, and her husband, Dana; two granddaughters, Dana Lynn and Moriah Mikuszewski, all of Gardner; five brothers, Randall Vaillancourt of Gardner, Raymond Vaillancourt, and his wife, Susan of Winchendon, Roger Vaillancourt of Gardner, Russell Vaillancourt of Fitchburg and Rene Vaillancourt of Baldwinville; and many nieces and nephews.
He is predeceased by two brothers, Ronald Vaillancourt and Robert Vaillancourt.
Richard was born in Winchendon, on September 30, 1959, a son of the late Ronald H. and Rosalie (Therrien) Vaillancourt. He was a 1978 graduate of Murdock High School and he served in the Army National Guard.
Richard worked as a machine operator in the plastic manufacturing industry for Ray Plastics and for Bell Craft Woodworking Co.
He enjoyed watching and rooting for the Patriots, and Red Sox . He loved to listen to music and collected many different CDs, cassettes, and albums. The most important part of his life was his family and friends who meant so much to him. He will be sadly missed by all of them.
Calling hours for Richard will be held on Monday, September 11, 2023, from 4:00 - 7:00 p.m. followed by a Prayer service at 7:00 p.m. n the Stone-Ladeau Funeral Home, 343 Central Street, Winchendon, MA 01475
