WINCHENDON - Richard A. Boucher. 69, of 48 Royalston Road North, Winchendon, died peacefully Wednesday morning, September 17th in Heywood Hospital, Gardner. He was born in Gardner on May 20,1939, the son of Alfred and Jeanette (Cantin) Boucher and had lived in Winchendon for 47 years. Dick worked as a test technician at General Electric in Fitchburg for 30 years until his retirement. He was a life member of the Winchendon Rod and Gun Club and worked on the Conservation Commission for eight years. From 1956 to 1960, he proudly served in the United States Air Force. Dick enjoyed hunting, cutting wood, working on antique cars, attending yard sales and camping. He also enjoyed joining his fellow GE retirees for Tuesday morning breakfasts and especially enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He leaves his wife of 48 years, Janet E. (Higgins) Boucher; a son, Craig S. Boucher of Winchendon; a sister, Carolyn Thomas of Haddock, Georgia; three grandchildren, Thomas C. Boucher of Kittery, Maine, Tanya R. Boucher of Winchendon and Janelle L. Boucher of Winchendon. He was predeceased by a daughter-in-law, Pamela D. Boucher, and a great granddaughter, Jasmine Pamela Boucher, both of whom died last year. Military funeral services will be held Monday, September 22nd at 11 A.M. in the Massachusetts Veterans' Memorial Cemetery, 111 Glenallen Street, Winchendon. The Rev. Barry Risto, pastor of the Cornerstone Church of the Assemblies of God, will officiate. There are no calling hours.
