Richard E. Bassette

DANBURY, CT - Richard E. Bassette, 60, of 40 Williams Street, Danbury, CT, formerly of Winchendon, died Saturday afternoon, February 27th in Danbury Hospital, Danbury, CT. He was born in Fitchburg on June 22,1949, the son of the late Earl Richard and Gloria H. (Loomis) Bassette and had lived in Danbury for many years. Richard worked as a personnel manager at Caldor Department Store in Norwalk, CT before illness forced his retirement. He was a 1968 graduate of Murdock High School in Winchendon and Framingham State College. He formerly taught school in Berlin, NH and Brewster, NY. He leaves several cousins. Funeral services are private and at the convenience of the family. There are no calling hours. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Winchendon.
