Rita M. (Langille) Pelto

WINCHENDON, MA. - Rita M. (Langille) Pelto, 88, of 60 Oak Street, formerly of Fitzwilliam, NH, died Sunday morning, December 13th in Legend Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Gardner. She was born in Fitchburg on December 17,1920, the daughter of the late Carl and Lena (LaFortune) Langille, grew up in Winchendon and lived in Fitzwilliam for most of her life. She returned to live in Winchendon six years ago. Rita loved gardening, cats and reading. Her husband of 67 years, Alte Pelto, died last December. They were married November 1st, 1941. She leaves a son, James A. Pelto of Gardner; a daughter, Carolyn A. Nurmsen of Winchendon; a sister, Marion Russell of Fitzwilliam, NH; four grandchildren, Andrea Suchocki of Winchendon and her husband Eric and great grandson Kevin Suchocki, Felicia Nurmsen and her husband Frank Silvia and great granddaughter Emma Silvia; Rebecca Thurlow of Gardner and great grandchildren Natalie and Nathan Thurlow and Jennifer Erdman of Tampa, FL and great grandchildren Felisha and Brian Jones, and a great great grandchild, Meaghan Jones. Graveside services will be held in the spring in Pine Grove Cemetery, Fitzwilliam, NH. There are no calling hours.
