Rita M.N. (LaPointe) Saveall

WINCHENDON – Rita M.N. ((LaPointe) Saveall, 87, of 111A Ipswich Drive, died peacefully Friday morning, January 9th in UMASS Healthcare, Memorial Campus, Worcester.
She was born in Winchendon Springs on December 25, 1927, daughter of the late George and Georgianna (LaPrise) LaPointe was a graduate of Murdock High School.
Rita worked for many years as the surgical secretary at Heywood Hospital until her retirement. Until recently, she worked as the curator of Winchendon Historical Society. Her hobbies included working in her flower gardens and doing needlework. Her greatest enjoyment was spending time with her family and grandchildren.
Her husband, Carroll K. Saveall, died January 2, 2000. She was the mother of three sons, Alan C. Saveall, who died August 25, 1985 and his wife Patricia of Waterville, ME, Bradley A. Saveall and his wife Betty of Swanton, VT and D. Stacy Saveall and his wife Doris of Rindge, NH; seven grandchildren, Erin D. Saveall of Portland, ME, Jessica A. Boardman and her husband Maj. Jeremy Boardman of Wiesbaden, Germany, Benjamin A. Saveall of Swanton, VT, Andrew A. Saveall of Swanton, VT, Devin S. Saveall and his wife Caprill of Winchendon, Valerie K. Norton and her husband Benjamin of London, UK and Vaughn A. Saveall and his wife Marissa of Rindge; ten great grandchildren; two surviving siblings, Adrienne Alber of Newport, RI and Germaine Barton of Keene, NH and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by several brothers and sisters.
Private funeral services will be held in Stone-Ladeau Funeral Home, 343 Central Street, Winchendon.
There are no calling hours.
Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery in the spring.
