It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Robert Washer, who left us on December 6, 2023. Born in Gardner, MA, on February 14, 1969, Robert was a man of many talents. He was a roofer by profession, but his true passion was the open road and the ocean. The rolling waves and the roar of a motorcycle were his joy, his solace. He was an excellent poker player, a testament to his skill in the art of strategy. His iPad was never far from reach, as he loved the thrill of digital games.
Robert never married, but he was never alone. His family was the cornerstone of his life. His sister held a special place in his heart and he was the beloved son of Kathryn and Richard Lord. He was a cherished brother to Richard (Donna Durant) Washer and Jamie LeBlanc. He also leaves behind his aunts and uncles, Thomas (Marty) Padula; Deborah (Elaine Murphy) Padula, and Pam (Steven) Wiley; his nieces, Cassady (Alec) Wong, Mackenzie Leblanc, Arayah Washer, Kimberly Padula, and Abigail Davis; his nephews, Rickey Jr., Danny Padula and David Padula; his great-nephew, Sawyer Wong and one cousin, Jay (Terri) Ablaza . Robert was predeceased by his father, Arthur Washer, and his sister, Lisa LeBlanc.
Robert Washer was a man who truly embodied the words of Alfred Lord Tennyson: "I am a part of all that I have met." His love for life, his passion for adventure, and his dedication to his family will forever be remembered. To paraphrase a quote from Charles Dickens: "He did each single thing as if he did nothing else."
