Robert A. Lemmer Jr.

WINCHENDON:  Robert A. Lemmer, Jr., 46, of 39 Old County Road, Winchendon, died peacefully Wednesday, October 26th in University of Massachusetts Medical Center, University Campus, Worcester, with his family at his side.

He was born in Winchendon on August 28, 1965 and returned to Winchendon this summer after living in Lampasas, TX for several years.  He previously lived in Germany and Colorado.

Rob proudly served in the United States Army for 17 years.  He received his GED and enjoyed working on cars, hunting and traveling.  His dog “Brady” had a special spot in his heart.  Rob was also a member of Freemasonry and the VFW .

He leaves his son, Jeffrey D. Lemmer and his wife Christie of Converse, TX;  his mother, Ruth (O’Malley) Van Zandt of Winchendon; his father and stepmother, Robert A. and Patricia Lemmer of Winchendon; two grandchildren Michael and Anthony Lemmer;   his sisters and brothers, Cheryl deOliveira of Worcester, Bonnie Batchelder of Gardner, Christy Maillet of TN, Marc Lemmer of TX, Steven Lemmer of TX, James Lemmer of Winchendon, Matthew Lemmer of OH and Jennie LeBlanc of Winchendon; his stepbrothers and stepsisters, Shawn Morris of Rindge, NH, Adam Morris of Raymond, NH and Ticia Conlon of Barre, MA and many nephews, nieces, aunts and uncles.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, November 2nd at 1 PM in Stone-Ladeau Funeral Home, 343 Central Street, Winchendon.  Burial, with military honors, will follow in the Massachusetts Veterans’ Memorial Cemetery, Winchendon.

Calling hours in the funeral home are Tuesday, November 1st from 6 to 8 PM.
