Robert J. Romanson

GARDNER – Robert J. Romanson, 61, of 116 Church Street, died Saturday, December 5, 2020 in Athol Memorial Hospital.

He was born in Gardner on May 13, 1959, son of the late John R. and Joan (Porko) Romanson and was a 1977 graduate of Gardner High School.

Bob worked in the construction field as a construction worker for most of his life.  An avid outdoorsman, Bob loved to hunt and fish.  He was also an avid music lover, especially rock and roll.  His greatest enjoyment was spending time with his daughter and grandchildren.

He leaves a daughter, Sarah Burks and her fiancé Paul Haynes of Fitzwilliam, NH; two grandchildren, Mary and Brayden; his brothers and sisters, Richard J. Romanson and his long time companion Lisa of Royalston, Roxanne J. Schindler of Winchendon, Robynn J. Bellofatto and her husband Peter of Hubbardston, Rana J. Matthews and her husband Douglas of Leominster and Robert Cormier and his wife Bonnie of Swanton, VT and many nieces and nephews.  A sister, Rhonda Romanson, preceded him in death.

Graveside services will be held Wednesday, December 16, 2020 at 1 P.M. in Green Bower Cemetery, Gardner.  There are no calling hours.
