Roland A. Theroux

WINCHENDON – Roland A. Theroux, 83, of 18 Goodrich Drive, Winchendon, died peacefully Thursday, December 26th in UMASS Memorial Medical Center, University Campus, Worcester.

He was born in Winchendon on August 17, 1930, son of the late George A. and Marie A. (Bedard) Theroux and lived in Arizona for many years until returning to Winchendon in 2009.

Roland worked as a carpenter for the State of Arizona until his retirement.  A graduate of Murdock High School, Roland proudly served in the United States Air Force during the Korean War.

He leaves two daughters, Nancy Gallant and her husband Joseph of Wilmington, NC and Shelley Brennan of Winchendon; three grandchildren, Joanna Moore, Sarah Wood and Derek Engell, as well as a sister, Jeannette Courtemanche of FL.  A sister, Pauline Cross, preceded him in death.

Funeral services will be private and the convenience of the family.

Burial will be in the Massachusetts Veterans’ Memorial Cemetery, Winchendon.
