Romeo M. LeBlanc

November 17, 1935 — October 20, 2015

WINCHENDON – Romeo M. LeBlanc, 79, formerly of 61D Hyde Park Drive, died peacefully Tuesday morning, October 20th in Quabbin Valley Healthcare, Athol.

He was born in Gardner, MA on November 17, 1935, son of the late Arthur and Cecile (Cormier) LeBlanc and was a resident of Winchendon for most of his life.

Romeo had worked as a materials handler and fork lift operator at Ray Plastics and at multiple companies in the area.  His hobbies were dancing, playing cribbage and pitch, playing pool and playing bocce ("48").  His greatest enjoyment was spending time with his family.

His wife of 48 years, Doris M. (Caouette) LeBlanc, died in 2005.  He leaves three sons, Marc P. LeBlanc and his wife Tina of Winchendon, Paul J. LeBlanc of Chicopee and Joseph H. LeBlanc of Fitchburg; two daughters, Simone M. Botti and her husband Christopher of Kissimmee, FL and Denise A. Emery and her husband John of Orange; 11 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.  One of  ten children, Romeo also leaves a sister, Rosie Leger of Baldwinville.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, October 23rd at 10 A.M. in Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, 52 Spruce Street, Winchendon.  Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery.

Calling hours in Stone-Ladeau Funeral Home, 343 Central Street, Winchendon are Friday, October 23rd from 8:30 to 9:30 AM preceding the mass.

Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society or the American Lung Association
