WINCHENDON - Ronald E. Guiles Jr., 56, of 40 Linden Street, died peacefully Tuesday morning, June 23rd in the Edith Nourse Rogers Memorial Veterans Hospital, Bedford. He was born in Waltham on February 25,1953, the son of Ronald E. and Rita (Dunleavy) Guiles and had lived in Winchendon for 15 years. Ronald served in the Coast Guard during the Vietnam War and was awarded the National Defense Service Medal. He was a member of Eugene M. Connor Post 193 American Legion. He enjoyed writing and collecting and was very generous to those around him. Ronald also liked ham radios. He leaves a brother Kevin Guiles of Norwood and his friends in the veterans' community. Ronald participated in daily activities at the Winchendon Day Activities Center with his fellow friends of the community. Funeral services will be held Friday, June 26th at 3 P.M. in the Stone-Ladeau Funeral Home, 343 Central Street, Winchendon. The Rev. Dr. R. Gary Heikkila will officiate. There are no calling hours. Burial, with military honors, will be Monday, June 29th at 1 P.M. in the Massachusetts Veterans' Memorial Cemetery, Winchendon.
