Russell C. Nadeau

WINCHENDON - Russell C. Nadeau, 88, of 90 Ipswich Drive, died peacefully Monday morning, January 11th in Wachusett Manor Nursing Home, Gardner.
He was born in Brattleboro, VT on November 20, 1927 and was a resident of Winchendon for most of his life. He worked as a working supervisor at New England Wooden Ware until his retirement. During World War Two, he proudly served his country as a member of the United States Army.
His wife, Eleanor L. (Monette) Nadeau, died in 2012. He leaves two daughters, Barbara E. Lafrennie and her husband Allen of Winchendon and Lois J. Gilbert and her husband Roy of Ashburnham; two grandchildren, Erika J. Lafrennie and Kyle M. Helie and his wife Andrea and one great grandson, Parker R. Helie. He also leaves two sisters, Elaine Bacon of Winchendon and Janet Manseau and her husband Donald of Cherry Valley, MA and several nieces and nephews. A sister, Gloria Desmarais, preceded him in death.
Private funeral services will be held in Stone-Ladeau Funeral Home, 343 Central Street, Winchendon. There are no calling hours. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery in the spring.
