Ruth M. (Lawrence) Richards

WINCHENDON – Ruth M. (Lawrence) Richards, 84, of 51 Hospital Road, Baldwinville, formerly of 556 Central Street, died peacefully Monday, June 20 th in Heywood Hospital, Gardner.
She was born in Winchendon on December 8, 1926, the daughter of the late Rodney W. and Pauline B. (Rogstad) Lawrence and was a resident of Winchendon for most of her life.
Ruth was a realtor for Jeffers Real Estate for many years until her retirement. She was long-time member of the United Parish of Winchendon, where she was a former clerk, treasurer, Sunday School superintendent and member of its Women’s Fellowship. She was a 1943 graduate of Murdock High School. Ruth enjoyed playing both the organ and piano.
She leaves her husband of 52 years, Francis J. Richards; two brothers, Clarence R. Lawrence of Saint Petes Beach, FL and William P. Lawrence of Winchendon; one sister, Esther J. Richardson of Greenbelt, Maryland and several nephews and nieces. Two sisters, Elizabeth P. Harris and Anna M. Millen, and two brothers, Roger Lawrence and Leonard Lawrence, who died as an infant, predeceased her.
Memorial services will be held Sunday, June 26 th at 2 P.M. in the United Parish, 39 Front Street, Winchendon. The Rev. F. Calvin Miller will officiate.
There are no calling hours.
Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Winchendon.
